Located near Memorial City Mall at I-10 and Bunker Hill, this 16-acre tract is beginning to become a bustling mixed-use center. Working with a number of architects such as Heights Venture, Morris, and StudioRED, MetroNational Corporation is breathing new life into this once mostly vacant plot.

Perhaps the most notable improvements would be the addition of the Nexen and Murphy office buildings. Nexen Office Building was the first project within this site that WGA participated on. The largest challenge for this design-build team was the tight 14-month construction schedule from start of design to completion of construction. Team members often had to step beyond their usual roles in order to meet these strict deadlines and coordinate the various efforts between consultants and jurisdictional agencies.

Due to the similar nature and close proximity of the Nexen Office Building and the Murphy Office Building, the design team already had a strong knowledge and background of the site and the potential obstacles the project could face. This familiarity allowed the team to quickly and easily navigate the design and permitting process which allowed project to meet its design/construction schedule of 14 months. Nexen Office Building has achieved LEED Silver Certification and the Murphy Office Building will also be seeking LEED Silver Certification.

Other improvements on the site include new parking garages to serve the increased parking needs of the office buildings and replacing a small shopping center on the east side of the development along Bunker Hill.

Civil responsibilities included site design, paving, drainage, stormwater quality, utility layout, LEED design, traffic impact analysis, utility capacity auditing, and detention research of exemption
