WGA is proud to announce the following promotions.

With a firm-wide plan of growth and expansion, WGA promoted four key Project Engineers to the role of Project Manager. These professionals personify everything that WGA stands for:  excellence in engineering, a commitment to take on new challenges, and a true passion for serving their clients. Please join us in celebrating their accomplishments and watching as they will undoubtedly do great things!

Ben Sims, PE

After earning his Civil Engineering degree from Texas A&M University, Ben Sims joined WGA as a graduate engineer. He is an impactful and key team member and has been a critical part of the firm’s growth and success.

While at WGA, Ben has been exposed to a variety of projects including retail, office, industrial and multi-family. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to work with a number of agencies and suppliers in the College Station area. Ben’s determination coupled with his excellent communication skills allow him to efficiently manage daily production operations. His communication and problem solving skills make him a great leader and effective project manager. Everyone associated with Ben—from clients and contractors to his internal team members—all enjoy working with him on their projects.

Mariana Cuellar, EIT

An engineer driven by challenges and high expectations, Mariana Cuellar is a dream Project Manager for her clients and team alike. She brings excellent engineering skills as well as a client-focused mind-set of exceeding expectations and providing excellent customer service, in addition to efficient engineering services.

Mariana is working as WGA’s lead Project Manager for our growing Water/Wastewater Engineering department. In this role, she focuses on potable water and wastewater treatment plants, water/wastewater pipeline engineering, condition assessments, as well as on-site sewage facilities and water wells. Mariana is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, as well as assume the project management role by talking to clients, attending meetings, running the projects, and addressing any issues that arise.

Mariana earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Kim Roper, EIT, CFM

Kim Roper is a key player in WGA’s Water Resource group, where she focuses on stormwater management. Kim received her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University where she focused in Water Resources. Her specialties include hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, drainage and floodplain studies, and storm sewer system design for land development projects. Kim is also a Certified Floodplain Manager in the state of Texas with extensive knowledge on the NFIP requirements and a commitment to staying informed on floodplain issues.

Kim has demonstrated that she is a highly-motivated engineer, willing to take on some of the toughest tasks associated with identifying feasible and cost-effective drainage solutions required for the many different types of development projects. As an active member of the Houston chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Kim has access to the most current engineering issues being discussed throughout the Houston area. She has proven herself as a valuable resource, and has quickly become the “go-to” person around the office for questions concerning drainage and related community regulations.

Tee Mueller, EIT

Tee Mueller joined WGA after graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in civil engineering. He quickly proved to be a capable and driven engineer and has designed and managed just about every type of commercial development. Through these experiences, Tee has developed a thorough understanding of the municipal agencies in the greater Houston area.

Tee’s initiative and communication skills allow him to execute project tasks in a precise and timely manner in accordance with the intentions of the client. He is a natural and effective leader, and his drive and enthusiasm for every aspect of the job is evident in his work product.

Committed to excellence in everything he does, Tee is known to always go above and beyond to get the job done right. From managing his engineering projects to taking over oversight of WGA’s IT system, he is a driven professional who is always willing to do more than is required.
