HOUSTON – NAIOP, the preeminent organization for commercial real estate, awarded its national Developing Leaders award this week to ten young professionals – two of whom were from Houston. Stephanie Anderson, partner at Ward, Getz & Associates, LLP (WGA) and Jake Donaldson, principal of Three Square Design Group, were honored to be recipients. The Developing Leaders award was given to those who distinguish themselves among their peers and show promise as industry leaders.

Stephanie Anderson, PE, LEED AP, is a land development engineer with more than 12 years of experience in project management and design of multiple office, commercial, industrial, single- and multi-family, and residential projects. Through her experience and client service expertise, she’s become known as an industry leader in the real estate market sector and am routinely invited to provide civil engineering services for the most high-profile and most difficult development projects in the Houston area. Since the beginning of her career, Stephanie’s been actively involved in several industry associations. As a NAIOP member for the past six years, she plays key roles as a Board Member and on the Developing Leaders Committee. Stephanie’s also been an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Houston for the past five years, serving on the organization’s Board and Outreach Committee. In 2009, she received the association’s “Networking Story of the Year” award and, in 2012, the “Rising Star Award”. Additionally, and very close to her heart, Stephanie is fulfilling a personal calling and volunteering with a local Therapeutic Equestrian Center. The mission of improving the quality of life for people with special needs through therapeutic horsemanship activities and therapies, and educational outreach, fits her life and her love of helping others.

Jake Donaldson opened the doors to Three Square Design Group in 2008 as a one-person architecture firm, and now operates a thriving 20-person firm. A full-service architecture firm, Three Square specializes in tenant finish and ground-up projects for the office, industrial, medical and retail industries. Jake has been awarded as one of Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, ENR Texas and Louisiana 20 Under 40, and his firm has been the recipient of a number of awards based on design, growth and company culture. Jake serves on the Board of Directors for Architecture for Humanity, leads his firm in the design of several pro bono projects a year, and is actively involved in several industry professional organizations.
