Project Engineer I/II, Water/Wastewater – Houston

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates. This role requires an understanding of multi-disciplinary team coordination and will work on technically difficult problems. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.

WGA Project Engineers are responsible for assisting Project Managers and Project Designers in the preparation and coordination of engineering design items. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

WGA Project Engineers (H&H) are responsible for assisting the Senior Hydrologist & Project Managers in the preparation and coordination of design and technical modeling of drainage infrastructure.

City of Houston Detention Regulation Change

We have been monitoring the City’s proposed detention rate changes via our involvement with American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Houston Chapter. This past Tuesday, we were informed that the proposed detention rate changes will become effective March 31, 2021.

From the water towers visible in most communities to complex pump and tank systems, municipal water systems require an extensive period of research, planning, and problem-solving before they can be built and implemented. Engineering teams, for example, have to make sure that the system will have enough capacity to meet current, and future, demand.

New Distribution Center Acquired By Hallmark Floors

Hallmark Floors acquired a 170,476 SF distribution center from Vigavi on June 9th. The distribution center is located west of the Gulf Freeway near the Sam Houston Tollway at 730 Genoa Red Bluff Road. WGA served as the civil engineer on this project.
