Stormwater Information Form Now Available through the Office of the City Engineer

Effective Monday, April 23, 2018, the responsibility for stormwater capacity will transfer from the Utility Analysis section to the Office of the City Engineer. The new Stormwater Information Form will replace the Stormwater Letter of Availability Application form. The Utility Analysis Section will continue to process stormwater applications that have already been submitted to the Houston Permitting Center.

City of Houston Adopts New Floodplain Ordinance (Chapter 19)

In response to the devastating flooding experienced during Hurricane Harvey, the City of Houston and Harris County began the process of drafting revisions to the floodplain development regulations with the main objective of reducing the risk of flood losses for future development projects.

Strategic plans to expand in Texas are coming to life for Houston-based civil engineering consulting and land development firm, Ward, Getz & Associates, LLP (WGA) as it opens its second location in San Antonio. WGA’s San Antonio office will provide civil engineering consulting and land development services to public and private clients in and around the region. James P. Eckart, PE, who recently joined the firm as its South Central Texas Director, will be responsible for leading the office.
